Eat Kanadiyan

We started Eat Kanadiyan to bring the food we grew up with to Surrey — the kind of stuff you'd find at a family table in Ilocos or Manila, not watered down for anyone. Our Sisig is chopped pork face and belly, sizzled on a cast iron plate, and our Ilocos Empanada uses that signature orange rice flour shell you don't see everywhere. Come hungry, bring your crew.

Main Dishes

Sisig Chopped pork face and belly, sizzled on a hot plate with onion, chili, and a squeeze of calamansi — eat it straight or pile it on rice.

Dinakdakdan The Ilocano cousin of Sisig — grilled pork ears and belly chopped and tossed with tomato, onion, and chili, served at room temp the way it's meant to be.

Bistek Thin-sliced beef braised in soy sauce and calamansi juice, topped with rings of browned onion — simple, saucy, goes great over rice.

Beef Kare Kare Slow-cooked beef in a thick peanut sauce, served with fermented shrimp paste on the side — that bagoong is what makes the whole thing work.

Tapa Cured, sweet-salty beef strips pan-fried until the edges crisp up — classic breakfast plate, serious any time of day.

Snacks & Sides

Ilocos Empanada Deep-fried in that bright orange Ilocano rice flour shell, stuffed with longganisa, egg, and green papaya — crunch it open while it's hot.

Turon Banana and jackfruit rolled in a spring roll wrapper, fried until the sugar caramelizes into a crispy coat on the outside.

Pancit Stir-fried noodles with vegetables and your choice of protein — the kind of dish that shows up at every Filipino gathering for a reason.
